A place where any teen can come down to discuss any topic they want in a judge-free atmosphere. Where they will feel accepted and appreciated for the differences that make them unique.

A unique program where teens get to pick topics that are of concern to them that will be discussed among their peers in a judgement free and open atmosphere.

Watch Moana 2 and eat pizza with Ms. Currao (WFHS Special Education teacher), Nick Nappi (program manager) and other friends. This is a program for those with special needs who are 18 years and older. 

No registration required, unless indicated for individual programs.  

Welcome to 2025’s MastiCon at the Mastics-Moriches-Shirley Community Library! 

Japanese cartoons, a few Marvel moments, snacks and plenty of awesomeness. Registration begins two weeks before each session. 

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo by customizing your nachos!

Join Charlie (super-cool Teen Services librarian) and your friends for a unique, custom-made D&D adventure! Character sheets and dice will be provided. 

Do you have an interest in reading and trivia? Battle of the books in a countywide competition for teens entering grades 6 through 9. We will compete against other Suffolk County libraries in August.

Design coffee sleeves with inspirational messages on them so we can give them to our library cafe to brighten up our patrons days. Earn one hour of community service. For students in grades 6 through 12 with a valid MMS Library card. 

Help us restock our Seed Library by filling and labeling envelopes with seeds for patrons to plant at home. One hour of community service is available for students in grades 6 through 12 with a valid MMS library card.

Drop-in to pet a therapy dog, tell a story or read a few pages of your favorite book. 

Earn 2 hours of community service by making decorations for the Teen Department's Summer Reading Club. For students in grades 6 through 12 with a valid MMS library card. 

Create a beautiful floral arrangement to keep or give as a gift!
