Historic Schoolhouses of Long Island

Zach Studenroth, an architectural historian who recently published (with Kurt E. Kahofer) a history of schoolhouses on Long Island, will describe the evolution of this nostalgic structure in Nassau and Suffolk counties.  One-room schoolhouses still exist, saved by preservationists and often upcycled as sheds, workshops, and seasonal dwellings.  The author will bring copies of Historic Schoolhouses to the presentation. Open to all.
